In 2016 Rochesters will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary

We have been providing an event hire service for weddings, private celebrations and corporate events since 1991. That’s quite a long time! Always a family business, we have grown from our corner of West Dorset to be one of the largest suppliers of catering and event hire equipment in the region and we regularly cover events in the South West.

In 2015 and tired of city life I took over Rochesters, and I hope I’ve brought some new enthusiasm and ideas to the existing business that my parents worked so hard to create. It’s easy to say you provide a quality service but what does that really mean? For us it’s simple and we always strive to be friendly, reliable flexible and efficient. I hope that all members of our team live up to those expectations and our feedback is testament to all their efforts.

Across the South West there are numerous marquee companies, furniture providers and event hire firms and it can get confusing. What’s more, some firms offer these services under their umbrella but don’t actually own the equipment.

Rochesters, though, is unique as we own all the equipment on this site. That way you are safe in the knowledge that you are hiring high quality equipment that is clean and reliable. From marquees and furniture through to cutlery, crockery and glassware, we’ve got everything covered. For our clients that means they can deal with one supplier and have a dedicated point of contact for their entire event.

And really that’s so important. Planning any form of event, from a small party to a family wedding, can be an extremely stressful task. The internet has made anything and everything accessible but sometimes the old ways work best. That’s why you’ll have a dedicated account manager, always on hand to answer your questions and help you with any arrangements – whether that be the dimensions of your marquee, which chair to choose, or simply which of our range of glasses will look best with your table setting, we’re here to help.
