Half Pint Nonic
£0.40
Description
In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s there was change afoot in the United Kingdom. Pint and half pint nonic glasses became the norm as we all got used to straight pint glasses. Larger started to conquer bitter and real ale, and it just seemed easier and more appropriate to use straight glasses.
Modern drinkers were blissfully unaware that the handle on a traditional dimple pint mug was supposed to keep the beer slightly cooler and traditional glasses fell by the wayside (although they’ve made a comeback). Today the trend is that larger is served in nonics, whilst beer and real ales are served in traditional dimpled mugs. Either way, we stock both to keep everyone happy.
